NEW JESUS LIFE STORY DVD SET

The Alberta Conference Deaf Ministry Department has prepared a new two DVD set called “Jesus Life Story”. The set covers Jesus life chronologically from his life in heaven before coming to earth, to His birth, childhood, ministry, death, resurrection and final return to earth at His Second Coming.

The main story is signed by Elder Allen Meis and the 10 chapter ‘Introductions’ by Esther Doss. The main story of Jesus includes a total of about 7 hours of signing, but there is also a Geography section of under an hour where you visit each of the 29 basic locations where Jesus ministered. There are over 500 paintings illustrating Jesus life and over 140 pictures and specialized maps of the Holy Land.

The set is not an adaptation of a hearing production, but was specifically prepared for a deaf audience. Each painting comes on full screen, then drops into place beside the signer as that part of the story is told. There is a voice track for hearing relatives and friends who may want to watch the series with a deaf person. The whole set is also sub-titled in English.

The project has cost over $50,000 with various organizations and donors coming together to cover all the production costs. The 2 DVD set sells for only $20.00, but if purchased in bulk drops to $6 for each set – plus the actual shipping cost for a minimum of 20 or more sets.
